We aim to grow plenty of foods that are already regulars in our meal planning. Feeding our little family of four is a daily adventure. During the summer we dine in the garden on the fruits (and vegetables) of our labors!

Preserve

Canning, fermenting, freezing, and dehydrating are our prefered methods of preserving at this time. Join us on our adventures in preserving and learn with us as we share our favorite methods and recipes!

Waste Less

Growing our own sponges, not using paper towels or napkins, and refilling our glass containered soaps at our local “refill shop” are our favorites at the moment. Join us as we find new ways to create less waste!

We are a family of four who moved from Southern California to Coastal Maine to pursue our dreams of a more self sufficient life. We have turned our little quarter acre plot into a beautiful suburban homestead.
